    Well for the first time this year, I'm giving butternut squash a go!
    Please, any hints/tips on any aspect of this squash growing would be immensely appreciated!

      This year I'll be attempting tromboncino vertically (thanks Sutt0ns for that offer), as well as Jack be little, sweet dumpling and seeds from a supermarket uchiki kuri type squash. Where I'm going to find the space for these as well as my cucumbers, melons etc I don't know. Drape them over my fruit trees?

        A bladdy strong structure to start with...............................unless they are to scramble across the soil.

              Black futsu look like they should be good climbers, likewise shishigatani & geraumon martinique and none of them are huge squashes. Am growing a few more new squashes this year, might be able to add to your list for next year...

                      Red Kuris can get quite heavy, so I'd have some netting/old tights ready - just in case they need some support.

                        grow a them up pallets lent against a wall. Works quite well
