  • Bright Yellow Aubergine

Hi all, I grew 4 plants of pinstripe aubergine this year and all fruited well, but after time, 2 plants produced bright yellow fruits after starting out normally.
    Any explanations gratefully received. Thanks!

    Do you have any photos?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Sound like fruits were over ripe or that plants were stressed.

I'm afraid not, but it was a very bright yellow all over, although you could see the pinstripe markings through it.

Yeah, they go yellow when they ripen. They're usually past their best for eating at that stage, but would be ok for seed saving if they were not an F1 variety. I see that Pinstripe is an F1.
