Why didn't I answer you, BM? How rude!!
I'm sowing leeks and beets, cabbage and carrots every 4 weeks as part of the Roots, Shoots, Fruits and Leaves rotation so I'll add in sprouts, swede, parsnips and whatever else and sow them every 4 weeks for a year.

I'll bet ya that the seed company spies will be reading this thread and thinking - "What a jolly good money spinning idea. We'll repackage some of our seeds as "All the year round" cropping and advertise them "Love sprouts? Can't wait for winter? Now you don't have to as we have developed a special range that can be picked in summer". the seeds will of course, by eye-wateringly expensive
Remember, you read it here first Wonder if I can patent the idea or TM it - That's Trade Mark of course

VC with the amount of seeds you have and your obvious marketing skills. you could probably start your own supply company. Just design some new packets ( if only you know someone arty ) and away you go. Millionaire in 3 years

What do you mean trading standards would get upset

The GYO Dec mag has just arrived and, would you believe it, there's a beginners guide to Brussels sprouts
Despite it being written by an RHS man, I think its wrong - and I don't mean by my nutty standards.

            "BS at a glance:- Plant Mar-July; Harvest Jan-Apr & Jun-Nov".

What happened to Dec? I thought BS were traditionally grown for Chr******!
It also implies that there are only 2 months of the year when they can't be harvested - May and Dec.
As usual, I shall ignore the experts and do my own thing.

I think we've managed Oct to March before... but I'm happy for them to be a seasonal, Christmas-orientated crop. Next picking I'm going to freeze to make sure we've got some to keep the turkey company!

We usually manage late September to late March. The early sprouts are Bronte. However, following your other post about sprouts, VC, I've been looking about and have come across Davlin, which are supposedly very early (sow April, harvest August and September, small sprouts). And Braemar are very late (harvest late January to early April, medium-sized sprouts).

And there was me, thinking I'd settled on my sprout varieties...

SP could the above be the answer, that way you would still have the benefit of your sprouts
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Cad, you overlooked Nelson - Aug - Nov on your list.
That looks to be the earliest cropper.

I got caught by one of those mixed multipacks of leeks. I still shudder when I think of it... It's just a completely horrifying prospect!

                          OCD? Moi?

I make my own "multipacks" by mixing all sort of seeds together then I scatter them - can't do rows and neat and tidy.
                            Does that make me NOCD?

^^ I think it might be just another form of OCD: can't abide neatness and tidyness!
