I'm proper looking forward to this; planning to go to the Chippenham one if i can. never been before. Couple of other ones mention £1 a kilo. how typical is this price? Seems really reasonable. When you factor in the shipping if you buy online getting potato seeds ends up being 30p minimum each, and i guess a kilo is around 12 seeds..? So around three times more costly.
And of course, going to one of these things you get out the house and get the experience.

SE Essex Seed Potato Day: Saturday 21 February 2015
In partnership with Trust Links, with approximately 40 varieties of seed potato (some organic) sold individually at 15p per tuber, SE Essex Seed Potato Day gives local gardeners the chance to buy seed potatoes by the tuber, meaning anyone with enough space for a potato grow-bag, or an entire allotment plot, can get started as soon as the weather improves!
At the event, visitors can learn all about growing potatoes with tips from the members - plus they also have the opportunity to buy some onion sets.
SE Essex Seed Potato Day will take place at Growing Together Westcliff, 47 Fairfax Drive, Southend-on-Sea SS0 9AG (corner of Fairfax Drive and Prittlewell Chase) between 10.00am and 2.00pm.
Admission is FREE, with refreshments and much more!

None in North East London/West Essex, nearest is 90 mins away rhs one in Westminister which is £8 entry plus extortionate travel on the tube
Anyone got any good links to websites where I can order spuds? I always used to get mine from a shop in Norwich but the 'garden centres' near me in London are rubbish
Come and join us for Seedy Sunday at the National Botanic Garden of Wales on 22 February. For free entry bring seeds to swap and join our talks ‘Success with Seeds’ at 12pm, and ‘Saving Your Own Seed’ at 2pm.
