Has anyone had any joy growing this?

I found an old thread of peeps trying it, but no outcomes

I tried it for the first time this year and although it grew it did not thrive. Then today there is rot at the base of stems and what farty tubers there were the slugs have had a go at

Just wondered if this is worth trying again

No never tried it but this info also said the slugs love it!
