What won't you bother with again?

There probably has already been a thread like this before, but i have not found it.

So anyway here are a few things i will never grow again and why. Love to know what you guys won't bother with

Paris Market Carrots, for me they went to seed very quickly along side the other carrots that did not. The OH also asks why would i bother growing something small and round, when i could grow "normal" carrots which take up the same amount of room but i get a lot more carrot.

Purple and white carrots, might a different variety but these taste of nothing. Especially when i pull up a Autumn king or similar and they taste divine.

Beetroot, well maybe, i keep saying i won't grow them but love seeing them in the plot and love cutting into the multicoloured one. Ok might grow just a few.

Asparagus Pea, really horrible thing, never again. Although very pretty. Going to give away a packet of seed i got bought for my bday (VSW)

All year round lettuce. I have loads of seeds and will carry on planting these,but when i am done i won't bother. when i go to the market and they sell 25 well established seedlings for 1e, it makes my efforts seems futile

Nothing is ever definitely out in my veg patch. I might give up on something then a couple of seasons down the line try again regardless of what I have said previously

Grown once, not repeated:

Asparagus Pea
Celery - just didn't produce a crop that tasted good enough. Tried that one three times before giving up
Florence Fennel - not managed to get it not to bolt (tried 3 seasons too, each with succession sowing )
Salsify
Scorzonera

Not keen on stooping to pick Dwarf French Beans (or Dwarf anything!!), but grow just a few (under cover too) as they crop earlier than the climbers

Still have Jerusalem Artichokes growing in the garden, but stopped harvesting them as they give everyone stomach ache (and wind of course ...)

Thinking of giving up Sprouts. Family say they don't like them (but then on XMas day say how nice mine taste and not bitter like they expect!) but they take up a lot of room, and growing time, for the weight of crop (well ... they do the way I grow them!!)

Broad beans. Started them off indoors in cotton wool as an experiment for the kids before we got the lottie. They grew well and we had a lot off them, but none of us like broad beans!

Gilfeathers' Turnip-Swede from Real Seeds - absolutely dire, whereas my normal swede (Tweed) grew well, as usual.

Cauliflowers don't seem to do well here Likewise celery!

Onions, too much White Rot on the plot.

nonononononononononooo! these are on my grow list for next year in the hope of avoiding the Swede Curse I am suffering under!

Definitely out: chard in any form (blech!), asparagus pea

Umming and aahing over: aubergines, swedes, caulis, cape gooseberries - I like all of 'em, just can't seem to get a decent crop out of them.

Kohl rabi; I can never seem to get them to crop, and I don't really like it much anyway. I'm tempted to say beetroot, as I don't like the taste at all, but it does look so nice... I'll probably grow a few, at least until the seed is gone.

Round carrots are also on The List, as once I've scrubbed and scraped the bad bits off, there never seems to be much carrot left. I have one packet of a different variety to try next year though, so they get one final chance...

Not really sure, no real plans for anything this year.
Very likely will not bother with leeks, first year I tried they were good, then the last 4 or 5 years have been a complete waste of time.

Not sure about onions, planted out a dense row about 10 days ago, expected nothing. Looked yesterday and 100% have come up. So I have 3x the amount in the space now. Not even sure they will overwinter either.

Not sure about carrots, real success either with them.

Suspect I will try a few slightly different things to fill a couple of rows.

Winston potatoes......slugged to death when other spuds were untouched.
Then again, what if the others were untouched because of the winstons? should I grow them as a sacrificial crop?

Atlantic giant pumpkin.....too big to justify cutting into just for me and no-one else here likes punikins.
Then again, they are good fun, and they make the plot look good when other crops are past their prime, and the other plotters ooohed and aaaahed and thought I was a very clever gardener

physalis.....only twice in a decade have they produced a crop.
Then again, when they do ripen they are outstandingly good! And they are so expensive in the shops, and they are my daughter's most very favouritest favourite fruit in the world....

So nothing is the answer.
Nothing is going to be left out because I never learn
I am plagued by gardeners optimism disease every spring, convinced that this will be my year and everything will grow and ripen and be delicious
