Hi George, sympathies about your leeks, we've been hit with both allium miner and leek moth this year. Moth decimated the outer leaves (though many plants are now recovering) but miner maggot removal means losing more layers before the leek can be eaten (earlier this year miner wiped out our entire onion crop). Can't say about the miner but one chap on the allotments has minimised moth attack by a fortnightly dosing of rhubarb leaf tea.
