  • Seeds that are a bit different - and cheap!

Heirloom & perennial vegetable, herb & flower seeds, plants & trees – Food Forestation Ltd
I've just bought some seeds from this company. Lots of permaculture/perennial seeds. Many of them are only 50p a packet..
The Portuguese cabbages are 50p for 10gms of seeds - sow by 2016. They are Commercial seeds from http://www.floralusitana.pt/Index_Fi...horticolas.htm.
The other seeds looked to be hand-packed and generous.
They also offer 3 free packets of seed to encourage children to grow food. I had Black Beauty courgettes, Borage and "Henry Wild" Sunflowers.
    P&P is £1.
Worth a look if you like to grow something different. I shall be keeping my eye on what's available

Oh wow great site. Just had a quick look and got some french lavender, Thai basil and some nasturtium seeds. So many seeds for such a great price thank you so much for sharing this with us. My kids will love the free seeds they are really into gardening. Last year my daughter grew an apple tree from seeds in her apple at lunch lol it's still going strong but not had fruit yet.

How many courgette plants do they want children to grow? I got the same 3 lots of seed for children courgettes, sunflowers and borage. It all looks plentiful and promising.

                    Thanks yet again VC

Elfeda - just add the Free seeds for children to your order. They send 3 packets of their choice, sounds like it will be Borage, sunflowers and courgettes Plenty of seeds in the packets.

I got the same freebies Wasn't planning on growing courgettes this year (I still have patty pan seeds from last year) but I'll stick one or two in since there are so many in the pack - they look nice and we can always use courgettes.

Does anyone know how long courgette/squash seeds will keep?

I know grapes are a nosey lot........as it is you VC
There were a few others but I was sensible and deleted them. Maybe next year. Finals were/are

Allium Carinatum ssp. Pulchellum, Keeled Garlic
                              Allium cernuum, Nodding Onion, seeds
                              Allium sphaerocephalon, Round Headed Leek
Brassica oleracea, Brussels, Early Half Tall, sprouts

Yes I have a thing for onions and garlic. Unfortunately I lost quite a few when I moved two years ago they were neglected a bit too long so my fault (lost hookers onion, perennial leek, red, white, green welsh onions and possibly my tree onions ).
