I've had good results from Desiree, but have no real space for maincrop anymore. I just let the Charlottes stay in the ground a bit longer. We're still eating the ones I dug in July.http://mudandgluts.com - growing fruit and veg in suburbia

I'd be very surprised if you don't get at least one vote for most varieties However I vote for Cara as they did us proud last year with large potatoes and our first ever home grown jacket spud.
That said this year we're not growing them lack of space, decided on the uncommon spud approach and we're going for Salad Blue and Highland Burgundy again. Hoping to space them out enough to end up with a blue jacket
I also second the tastelessness of International kidney, although it may have been the year we grew them (lots of complaints about tasteless spuds that year)

The great taste of Jersey Royals was mainly because they were grown on a south facing slope were the ground had had tonnes of seaweed ploughed in as a fertiliser.Potty by name Potty by nature.
