    Sowed mine yesterday:

    - Santa Fe Grande
    - Habanero Red
    - Habanero Long Chocolate
    - Chinese Black
    - Espelette
    - Orange Thai
    - Alma Paprika (sweeter and mild)

    - Medusa
(chillies have zero heat, apparently - curious to see how they compare to a sweet pepper).

It's a few down on last year, but I've got a number of plants still from previous seasons.

Have also decided to have another go at a sweet pepper - Gypsy F1 - as endorsed by Ian_5 on a different thread for being quite prolific. Ordered seeds from T&M which arrived a few days ago, and sure enough the blurb on the packet includes the line "amazing cropping potential."
    So worth a go.

(In the past I've found the return from sweet pepper plants to be so low as to be not worth the bother).

I have planted many varieties of chilli's in jiffy 7 pots and some in modular trays and a small number in a flat tray.

        1. Flat tray -damping off hit so I binned the lot, no big deal just standard Jalapenos of which I have plenty
        2. modular tray - about a 50% germination rate so far - some more are likely to burst through
        3. Jiffy 7's - everything germinated except 2 - arguably the most interesting two, a 7 pot and a Bhut jolokia - though that may have been my fault for letting them get a bit dry.

A couple of flower heads appearing on my overwintered "ring of fire" I overwintered it by..... completely ignoring it. I remembered to water it about 3 times when I gave it a light drink. I'm going to hit it with the chilli focus fertilizer and see what happens.

It sat by the patio doors in my office (south facing) - so generally warm and bright - but there is a bit of a draught that can whistle in between the doors sometimes though it seems not to have bothered it too much.

I recently moved it into the utility room as that patio door space how has the T5 lights for the seedlings. A bit darker there but still on a window. It's only in the last week I noticed a few flowers starting to form.

I really did absolutely nothing to it - not even trimmed it. I meant to but never got round to it - I think I'll just leave it now.

Does fl zap em or just clean em up (serious)?
Feed the soil, not the plants.

Aphids breath through their skin so the solution clogs up their pores and they suffocate.

I sowed seeds of Spanish Naga, Scotch Bonnet and (can't remember the other one) about 3 weeks ago. 1 Scotch Bonnet popped up 2 days ago.

Just an update on how things are growing

                                Tray 1 - under the T5's

                                Tray 2 - under the T5's

                                Tray 3 - under the T5's

Tray 4 - under a different CFL grow lamp

I have now run out of room though there are a couple of tomatoes mixed in there which can just go on a windowsill soon
