Did you direct sow or in modules? Mine bolted last year because I planted them too late so I'm looking to get them in early

Edit: Just noticed you're in France so maybe your method might not work in icy Harrogate hehe!

      • Sowed 2 rows of a fast maturing, sugar type pea, can't remember the name, direct sowing on plot, covered in fleece cos it's still a bit cold, and also hope to stop any little mices, who might be hungry.

9 weeks to harvest! ( well that's what the packet says)!

        • Planted a tray of Physalis peruviana seeds. I quite like these so here's hoping they grow into something with fruit.

          • Sowed 6 seed potatoes - Red Duke of York....3 seed potatoes - Arron Pilot....outside in the sun. Its cold at night tho,so I made a thick fleece surrounding for them. Just seen a seven spotted ladybird on some weeds,I should pull the weeds up,but I just left it there, playing on the climbing frame like weeds......

                • Sowed some herbs today. Chives, coriander, parsley, thyme. Also some tomatillo seeds although they are a few years old.
My spring onion seeds are just beginning to come through as well.
Tomatoes and peppers doing really well now as they are in the sunny conservatory all day and back under cover at night.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                  • I've planted two modules of beetroot (one chioggia, one boltardy) in the greenhouse, and one module of peas. However, the mice usually get to my greenhouse peas, so I've also started some back at home, and after a night of soaking, I've also started up a full module of sweetpeas.

                    • Soŵed a packet of Antirrhinum 'Kimosy' in pots & a few Garlic Chive in a pot all under the fish tank light. Made a list of planting companions, apparently fresh catnip (wet) sprinkled on plants will drive away flea beetles...but what happens when your cat starts rolling all over the plants

                      • Planted 6 Arran Pilot potatoes in bags in the polytunnel and sowed:

                        Tomatillo - De Milipa
                        Cape Gooseberry - Golden Berry
                        Melon - Melba & Gala
                        Gherkin - West Indian
                        Peppers - Peppadew
Tomato - African Queen, Tiger, Marmande, White Beauty, German Lunchbox, Yellow Stuffed & Cuore Di Bug

All above seeds from VSP including a number of tomatoes for viability testing.

                        I've got a 3m x 2m and a 6m x3m polytunnel and an 8ft x 6ft greenhouse and still wondering how I'm going to find room for them all
