                  Chitted sweetcorn

                  • Today I sowed runner bean "The Czar", 2 to a pot in 3 1/2 inch pots, not chitted. They are now in the sunniest corner of my greenhouse. As an experiment, I did half the pots with last years saved seed and the other half from the original packet from the previous year. I want to see if there is any discernable difference in germination and, when they grow up, whether the plants look any different.

                          • Went up to my son's nursery today to encourage the next generation!

Planted potatoes, radishes, courgettes, peas and carrots, onions, tomatoes, peppers, baby sweetcorn, nasturtium, borage and a HUGE scattermix of wildflower seeds.

Phew! Need a lie down - they're an energetic bunch
