I'm growing vivalidis this year, I bought them from Gardening Organic as second earlies.Seed POTATO Vivaldi

They arrived around Christmas time, and really need to be planted soon as the chits are getting a bit long

I put some in the ground in August last year and 8-10 weeks later had a surprisingly good crop. Of course there is less heat and light early in the year so they'll take a bit longer, but I consider them to georgette fast growing. Delicious too.

The difference between earlies and main crops is the length of time they spend in the ground before the potatoes are ready, not the time of planting
Totally agree, a point which is often not understood.

My Vivaldi potatoes that I planted on 3rd March are now showing through the soil! First time for potatoes for me here in Spain. They are covered with plastic (2 old clear plastic shower curtains) just in case the temperature drops at night.
          Just think happy thoughts
