      I have nerve damage in my hands, trust me when I say it is too time consuming for me. Besides, those are the times I log on here, I'd much rather be on here than fiddle around with newspaper when there are perfectly serviceable alternatives and better uses for newspaper!

        I agree, seems like a lot of work (and fiddly).

        I use a lot of newspaper "pots" (for things that dislike root disturbance), I just roll a piece of newspaper around an aerosol can and tuck the bottom in.

          ^^^^^ You can then use a small milk bottle with its bottom cut off to help fill the rolls with compost. It acts as a scoop and funnel all in one
