i was sorting through my seeds and came across a packet of broad bean (Valencia) seeds - am I too late to have a go at growing them? Thanks for any advice. I'm a beginner btw only grown potatoes, garlic and herbs before

Only reason for growing them early (other than having an early harvest ) is that later on they tend to get infested with Blackfly, and the solution for that is to pinch the tips out - which then stops the plants growing any more.K's Garden blog the story of the creation of our garden

Wow thanks for all your replies - and so quick too. Thats great news that Im not too late. I have created an allotment in my garden its very much a work in progress. I have bought so many seeds it all a bit overwhelming. I have a slab base to finish for my greenhouse and then a greenhouse to put together but its one of those click system ones so hopefully I will manage it. My reluctant gardening husband will help ! Thank you for such a warm welcome
