Is it ok to use butterfly netting or is it best to use insect netting like enviromesh?

For last season and again this season I used Wilco's black pond netting the mesh is smaller than standard butterfly netting. Not perfect but I only had to remove two/three caterpillars and had no brassica damage, cheap too,Potty by name Potty by nature.
