I grow most things for a module start but just direct sow swedes. About 3 seeds every 4 or 5" then thinned out after germination. As with all brassicas I cover with enviromesh from sowing onwards. I have enough stuff to look after already in modules (don't chit anything apart from to do a viability test) so am glad they don't need it.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
I sow mine ( a mildew resistant variety) in paper pots, in May or June, they get planted out about 9/10ins apart, a little bit more between rows. I put some chicken manure pellets in the planting holes
Make sure they are watered in dry weather, or they can go woody.
