  • Weedol Max

I have just got some of this and wondered has any body ever used it ?

Its ingredient (pelargonic acid) make the plant cell walls swell and explode killing them.

How long between application and replanting?

Sorry, can't help, I only use blood, sweat and tears on the weeds...

(Sometimes swearing at them seems to make them wilt a bit too....)
    Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
    Endless wonder.

Should tell you on the container, but I try not to use weedkillers, specially near edible plants

I don't use weed killers either but am thinking of adding "swearing at them" to my blood, sweat and tears approach

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I find that most weed killers are temporary at best, downright garbage on average and so expensive it'd make a glass eye weep! If you want temporary then use distilled vinegar with a drop of washing up liquid in it. It won't kill the roots and it makes your garden smell a wee bit like a chippy but it gives the weeds a hard time!

            Instructions say:
1 day after spraying a lightly weeded area,
7 days after spraying a heavily weeded area.

            I would leave 2 weeks.

            Actually ignore that.
The search for Weedol Max Direcions actually turns up Weedol Rootkill Plus for just about every result. Nothing titled Weedol Max and the above is therefore for Weedol Rootkill Plus.

It may be the same stuff but unsure.

            Weedol Max is advertised as:
An alternative to traditional chemical weedkillers, it uses an active ingredient that occurs in nature.

            Does that mean it's organic?

              Does it list the ingredients?

I like the way chemical weedkillers are now 'traditional'. Mind you, as a pensioner I'd probably be described as traditional!
