Tomatoes and Sweetcorn safe to go in Polytunnel?

I would expect a few cold nights to slow them down, coupled with the root disturbance. I'm sure they'll skyrocket as soon as the temperatures go up.

Any ideas why they would not grow taller? I checked the variety in case they were bush ones but it says it's a cordon and grows to 150cm

Could this be due to the persistent low nighttime temp? And will they recover or should I start some more off?

In a word, yes. Cold temperatures will stall growth, sometimes they recover but that can put them behind later sowings which have had more protection

Im going to plant half of my tomatoes out tomorrow and take a risk,next year ill sow them later but I was too early this year and now they are 2-3 feet tall and need potting on again which I have no room for.

I planted one out a week ago as a canary and it seems ok.
