I too have used the James Wong cucamelon seeds. I sowed 4 in a heated propagator on my first try and 3 germinated (took nearly 2 weeks if I remember correctly) but then flopped over and never came back to life.

My second attempt has been better. Used the heated propagator and sowed 4 again. Two have germinated so far (took just over a week) and I have moved them to a sunny windowsill to avoid them getting leggy and flopping again! Hopefully the other 2 will show signs of life soon!

ok, 3 of the conservatory sown ones have now appeared (after maybe 4-5 weeks I guess).

And out of the 24 that I sowed in a heated prop barely a week ago, 8 have come up already..

so it certainly would appear that a heated prop does the trick....

Sowed 2 lots 2-3 weeks apart about 6 weeks ago 90% germination in heated prop - later sowing has almost caught up been in a unheated greenhouse for the last 3 weeks have slowed down but seem fine.

lots of family and friends after plants.

I now have around 30 baby cucamelons.

Growth is VERY slow, is this normal?

As they do not seem to be doing much!!!!

How long have they been up?
Feed the soil, not the plants.
            (helps if you have cluckies)

Mine are over a foot long with 2 strong vines from each one.

Still growing slow but sure - hopefully they will take of soon.

Mine have always grown pretty quickly. I have a couple potted on in the greenhouse at the moment. They both have runners a couple of foot long and going great guns. I find they grow like weeds tbh

I thought I would ask in here rather than start another thread seeing as its relevant in here.

I put 3 cucamelons seeds in a pot 2/3 weeks ago and I now have 3 1'' shoots which is brilliant but when do I transfer them to other pots? Can they stay in one pot (obviously a decent size) or should I separate?

Also they will be going outside with no greenhouse so should they stay in the house a bit longer yet?
