I bet you know what its like with your pups but all those guys are leaving me Friday off to Germany, after 2 months.
But those guys leave and a bunch more arrive
I might try tying him/her up. Its managed 36hours. Although to be fair i have more than enough plants
It may be a bit later, but I am sure one of the other shoots will take over the leading shoot.
Should also turn out to be quite a bushy plant.
I find toms of that size pretty indestructible.
Repot down to the 1st true leaves and give it some food and water.
Feed the soil, not the plants.
(helps if you have cluckies)
Don't worry I guess in Spain you have a longer season then UK so plenary I me for the side shoot to grow. Plus when remove side shoot put them in water so they root. Some of my Italian friends they don't grow so many plants at one but few of them then they pinch the top so the produce side shoot and then pull them out and make them root for a new plant. Technically 5 and more plants from one. Plus this way the tomato are different sisze so It will give you a longer harvest in summer instead a big one all together.
Although to be fair i have more than enough plants
What does this mean?
It'll be fine - one of mine fell out of the pot as I was planting it because the only bit of the stem left was a thread. It was just breaking out new roots above the rot/break so I bunged it in anyway. Not dead yet ...
