They work too.

They can be used in a number of ways, you can cover with plastic initially to make a mini greenhouse, and with netting later to keep the critters out.

Be careful using old bamboo though as it tends to snap off inside the hose which is a real pain to get out again.

I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
