    I used to work in a school. One year a batty teacher brought in a tomato plant and grew it on the window sill of her room. Although it looked out of place in a computer lab to my surprise it grew huge and was covered in tomatoes!

          C'mon, go and introduce yourself on the intro thread and let's have some photos of your chillies too we are nosey bu@@ers on here. I don't think its too late to start a little bush Tom now either if you are going to keep it indoors.

            Thank you for the replys . i have bitten the bullet and decided to sow some garden pearl tomato seeds as ive read they have been bred for windowsills and pots im just wondering what size pot should be there final pot ? ive currently sowed them into a small pot intill they germinate fingers crossed they do ive also covered the pot with clingfilm to help keep the soil moist

              My windowsill tomatoes go into 3l pots. I have tried 2l pots but they are a bit small and the plants don't tend to do well.

                I've dug out a 25 cm pot its qui te deep not sure if its 4 litres is that big enough ?

                  Should be - my 3l pots are about 19cm wide and 15cm deep.
