Scoot don't forget to rinse them daily otherwise they will go mouldy.
Wash them in new water and then leave them in new water do you mean?

No Wash them in new water and then drain leaving them just damp.

Well rinsed the chitted ones this morning. They are sitting in the same bowl but with no water in. Just basically left on the peas themselves. I keep turning them to keep them damp.

Think that sums up why I don't chit, would be rubbish at that and they'd end up dried up by the time I had the chance to plant them

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I cheat as usual. I used a plastic container complete with lid saved from the Chinese takeaway meal. When your rinsing you can put the lid on to swirl without spillage, crack the lid to drain the water off, reseal the lid to maintain moisture levels within the container.

Hell with it, they've gone into a sealed container on damp kitchen roll. Coz they keep nearly drying out. They've nearly sprouted their root as well.

How long does it take for these to come up? I planted them (half chitted and half not chitted) last Sunday but I still can't see any signs of life?

In the ground outside or in pots under cover?

I'd have a rummage and see what's going on down there... I'd expect them to be up by now.

Could you find seed? Perhaps mice were taking them.

No nothing at all. The only few I have are the ones I chitted and then potted in a pot and then planted out. That's I'll be doing this time I think.
