  • So, the new Supertom

Crimson Crush, the brand new Blight free super tom intended for outdoors, anyone else tried them yet ?.

I ordered three and put them into a "not poodle" pot each ( unsure of add rules ) and potted them on today, approx 4 weeks after planting.

The plants are looking really good and the root systems were incredible so really looking forward to how they do, not outside yet though, just during the day and back in the greenhouse at night untill they get into their final 25 litre pots.

Yeah I received 3 plants about 1 month ago from suttons.

Slightly embarrassed about spending £4 each on them but the plant is to take side shoots in october and then overwinter and use them for next years stock.

Im dubious, If you look at the promotion picture you can see blight patches on the plant.

Yes , know what you mean about the four pound, but i only had one my father in law had the other two
Plan is similar to yours exept that i intend to keep the seed. I know f1s revert back to the parent plants but as both of those were blight resistant then gotta be worth a go .

Failing that i believe they will be selling seed at the end of this year, we will soon see i guess

Yes, they sent me an email. Three crimson crush plants and three random chilli plants for a fiver. If you got the £10 voucher for signing up to the newsletter that would have covered the cost and the postage so you would have got them for free (like I did )
Posted on an iPad so apologies for any randomly auto-corrected gobbledegook

I got mine on Saturday, but I didn't order them until Easter when they were giving free postage. I split 6 plants with my sister so £8 for 3 plants. Must say they look really healthy, much better than the tomato plants I ordered off T & M last year.

I got my 2 plugs through today - am really looking forward to seeing how they cope with blight on our site.

I must add these are the strongest most vigorous plugs I have ever had. They really want to grow, one even survived being battered by the parcel shelf on the way to the allotment. I really hope they taste good
