One of my CC plants is situated in an area of the garden that has seen the most blight/diseases. It is in an area along with San marzano, ferline and potato plants - all of which have shown some sort of disease in the past couple of weeks, be it blight, botrytis or general dark spots covering the leaves.

Yet..... the CC is looking incredibly healthy still. It hasn't been pruned/cut back at any time during the season, and all of its leaves, including the lower set by the ground, are a lush green colour, something which definately can't be said for the other tom plants. So the CC has botrytis immunity too by the looks of it?!

Won't count my chickens just yet, but long may it continue!

Ive noticed suttons had added this description to the seeds you can now buy, it seems pretty accurate

please note: With regards to the nature of the blight resistance, plants can still show infection (up to 10-15%) of leaves, stems etc. without effecting fruit quality or yield. The plants having the resistance to be able to grow away from the attack.

      also

TOM EXPLAINS THE TECHNICAL STUFF YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW…
This variety is unique in that it has two resistance genes to Phytopthera infestans (Late Blight), giving it full resistance to all strains of blight currently found in the UK. So if blight spores come into contact wth the plant the infection will not spread throughout the plant.
It's been bred using natural methods and has been tested throughout the breeding process using Marker Assisted Selection (MAS).

Just to add, im not sure how unique it is in having the PH2 and PH3 blight resistant genes.

        Mountain magic has them

so does an open pollinated variety called Skykomish

My Cara (potatoes) are blight resistant and when I pulled them up, I noticed some blight patches on the undersides of the haulm. I rang Kings where I bought them from, to see what blight resistant meant, and the nice man said that the plants would be ok (rather than completely useless) if they got blight, although he mentioned the cut the tops off tip which many Grapes have said here. One of the few times when everyone agrees
