I planted some spuds in bags and trugs earlier this year. Half of them have leaves half don't.
I assumed that the ones without leaves had rotted or summat so decided to replant those bags with more spuds.
Here's one -
This is what I found
The seed potato was still firm but showing no sign of sending up stems and leaves! I've replanted them to see what happens next.
One bag had a slow worm in it, - so I left it undisturbed.
The moral is - even without foliage, you may still have hidden treasure below ground.
