Munched on the first pull off my broad beans yesterday. A mixture of Meteor and Bunyards. Still a bit small, but very tender and good flavour. Lots more to come.

Very good -- is that overwintered beans?
My spring sown outdoors crop haven't flowered yet. My early greenhouse crop has set, but I'm still a couple of weeks from a harvest.
I grow broadies through the summer, sowing successionally, and sowed my last rows at the weekend.Garden Grower

Wow! They're fantastic. Are they really six foot tall?
My overwintering attempts have always failed, but I might try your pots in the greenhouse then plant out tactic. Probably I'd keep them in all winter to the start late Feb early March, then plant out.Garden Grower
