My BE took ages before the flowers started to set - just in time for the chocolate spot and aphids to arrive.

I grow them in the poly tunnel and although I'm rarely without something buzzing around in there sometimes it is cold and quiet. In these circumstances I just run a hand gently up and over the flowers from the bottom to the top. Usually manage to get the bottom flowers to set at least a few that way. I believe shaking them is meant to be effective.

PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!
