My First Pineberry

I am so excited, investigating the strawberry patch this afternoon, I noticed my Pineberry had a fruit.

How do you know when it is ripe? I've had a few strawberries and delicious they were too.

I was wondering that myself, so after a quick Google, its when the seeds are red and it takes on a light pinkish tinge!

Cant wait to try it, never tried them before, so It will be interesting, only had one ripe strawberry so far but loads still to come.

Not expecting a huge crop from the Pineberry, but I have 2 plants and they are putting out runners so hopefully load more plants for next year
