    Hello!

My father in law gave me a box of these the other day (seed potatoes), do I just chuck them in now?

It's a bit late in the day to be planting maincrop but you could give them a go, maybe undercover. They won't be ready till around November so may need a bit of protection plus you may have to watch out for blight..........good luck.

As long as the seed potatoes look healthy they should grow. I've planted maincrop in July before now and got small potatoes at Christmas, but you will need to be able to protect them from frost and you'll need to be lucky with blight. I'd suggest planting them in bags or buckets that you can move under cover later in the year.
