  • Calabrese - white burnt leaves

    Hello, I planted out my calabrese a week ago and since then the leaves have become white and crispy.

    They were planted in ground that had manure applied a month ago, they are netted and have encountered some extreme weather conditions in their first week.
    Can anybody help please?

    That's weather damage, they look healthy apart from that so I wouldn't worry too much. Did you harden them off first?

      Okay, thanks Scarlet. I did harden them off for a week , I still have some seedlings not planted out yet and they are just the same, they go out every day but weren't out in the really bad weather at the start of the week. Until the last couple of days they have all been out in quite cool temperatures though.

      I put the same photo up twice, this is the other one;

            It looks like a few of mine, they get a little dry in pots and the leaves go limp and get burnt. They will recover.
