Chrysanthemum notes page here.
Plant - nothing today
Pick - 1 cabbage Hispi, 1 bucket Rocket potatoes, 2 carrots, 1 small stem rhubarb, 1 pod peas.
Process - Peas eaten straight from the pod. Potatoes sorted, weighed and stored in a hessian bag in their bucket, small ones scraped and eaten boiled with sausages, rhubarb (cooked in the sausage pan*), carrots and steamed cabbage. Half the cabbage frozen (not tried this before).
*Don't try this with sausages that leak a lot of fat. Mine are from a local butcher and fry almost dry. I adore rhubarb with sausages.
