  • Main crop potatoes

I've messed up and planted my main crop potatoes too close to my peppers and there towering over them blocking out the light
I've thought about moving them and might still do (there in pots) but I'm pretty sure ill damage them
If all else fails can you take main crop early and still use them as a small potatoe?

Potatoes are potatoes - the only difference between earlies and maincrop is the amount of time they need before they mature. You can eat maincrop as soon as they form potatoes, but you will get more if you leave them longer. I would try moving your pots. The foliage may fall over, but it won't damage the plants as long as it doesn't break off. I've just (this evening) carried a bag of Sapro Axona with 2ft high foilage out of the greenhouse into the garden. It coped fine.

If your worried stick a short cane in the pot and tie a loop of garden twine around them.
