Hi, I'm growing quite a few Turks turban squash this year. They all seem to be growing like a courgette...? I thought I'd be sold the wrong seeds but opened one up and it's definitely a squash, do they eventually grow into there weird shape?

They start off quite flat but with a circle around their bum - they get fatter and change colour as they grow.
I wouldn't think you could confuse one with a courgette though

and remember, a courgette is a squash as well so I'm not sure what you expect to see when you open one up?
I think that if it looks like a mini courgette then thats what it is.Comment

Definitely not mini, they are huge already but still quite long, they are rounded towards the base so maybe they'll fill out, some are dark green while others are quite pale, I probably didn't explain very well the first time, the innards did looks and taste like squash, courrettes tend to be on the bitter side for me all though granted haven't eaten many so I'm no expert, I'll try taking some pictures later onComment

If they're long fruits, they're not turk's turbans.
