leaf that black start to worrying me. I know some of my tomato are showing some magnesium deficiency could be the same for this tomato? Unfortunately they are outside due to big problem with the greenhouse (bought last year at a bargain price at b&q but found out that the glass are all broken)and the weather as been quite rubbish here so what can I blame (I know I'm the first to be blame as well)? The soil had some compost about 3 inches(new raised bed and I only filled a bit ),

early in the season, sometimes the leaves turn purple when it is still cold outside. This is a phosphorus deficiency. This never happens in June or later when it is warm but more in May if you plant early and it is still cold outside.
If you are growing a purple or black variety of tomato your plant may have purple veins so don’t pull it unless it start to looks sick with the curly leaves and looks like it needs water.
