No idea whatsoever - but some of those cabbage seeds were best before 2007

There are lots of winter radish - some with unpronouncable? names.
They are alive and well and living in my seedbox. Some will emerge when there's a free patch of garden............if I remember

I grow Mooli outdoors over the winter and they grow mahoosive! I dread to think what a two stone Mooli plant grown indoors would look like, or how long it would take to eat it!

Things I tried to overwinter last year (apart from the usual leeks, cabbages, broccoli, chard etc):
                Kohlrabi - very good
                Mizuna - very good
Pak Choi - eaten by slugs
Carrots (greenhouse) did ok (would have been better if they hadn't been dug up by a squirrel)
Calabrese (greenhouse) survived but produced small heads when I was overwhelmed with PSB
Spinach (cold frame) soon overtaken by spring sown outdoor spinach
Mooli - grew well but I didn't like the taste
Potatoes - worked well in bags that could be moved under cover.

No, but I know someone who eats sardines and another who eats cold leftover pizza for breakfast!

Real seeds do some really interesting winter radish.
No matter:the allotment is lovely, the tadpoles have legs, my sea kale has germinated and I am glad to be home.

Absolutely- bubble and squeak with bacon or an egg, yum.

Emptied 4 rows and fill one with bits that had no real home. That left 3 empty rows. Just put in a row of carrots, a row of swede and a row of turnip.

Do have a short row (even a patch) left but need something that will sort of grow anywhere under any condition with minimal care/attention (= absolutly none). How do carrots fit that ?

Carrots would fit that if you covered them with some enviromesh.

excuse the tangentisation but is that not an oxymoron?
