You might be better with something like Winter Density. I would have thought light levels would be too low indoors unless you are going to use up old seed and grow "micro greens"

Do you have any family close by who have a garden that you could use a bit of? Even a little bit of space for a tub or two would help.

If you particularly like Little Gem, there is a variety called Winter Gem, which is similar but bred to grow in low light levels. I grew some last year and it was good.

I grow most of my lettuce indoors on windowsills or under grow lights as I find this a satsifactory way of avoiding slugs, aphids and caterpillars. Works well for loose leaf lettuce, not so good if you like big, firm hearts.

There's still time to get some lettuce in. All the better if you have a greenhouse.

Rocket is something else you might like to try. A bit of an acquired taste, but a quick grower.

I can vouch for winter gem - I grew them last year in the polytunnel and they were great - and I don't even like 'soft' lettuces normally! Lol

I am still sowing and growing all types of lettuce outdoors. I think you still have time.
