Still got cabbage whites flying round here, only this morning found two caterpillars on my spring cabbage and they are covered.
If your crop is touching the mesh keep a watch the little devils can lay eggs through the cover.Potty by name Potty by nature.

Just spotted a pair of cabbage whites 'dancing' together in my garden- and come in espesh to post this!
They won't die off until we've had frosts.
Good point Pots about laying through the mesh- although how fine is the mesh?!"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Definitely not - I caught the pesky blighters on camera today. Thankfully my brassicas are also behind defences.

I leave it on until frost is forecast when I sub with wider mesh on the tall stuff but just lay it flat over the lower stuff like cabbages as it also helps to insulate. I've no other need for it at this time of year anyway so no need to remove.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I've never seen or used Enviromesh so I don't know what its' stretch capabilities are. I was thinking maybe some cups on canes to lift the mesh off the leaves.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”
