Are they indoors? When the nights start to get cold bring them in from the GH and place on a sunny windowsill. They should ripen on the plant.

Most stuff was slow to get going this year, my tomatoes were weeks behind this year.

Have a look at Ohnivec. Very hot and quite a big long chillie.

Apache is the one I've found easiest and most reliable.

Although this year has been a shocker for the chilis. They're so far behind I'm getting a very small crop and I suspect a lot won't ripen. Good job I've got tubs and tubs of dried ones from previous years!

Through lack of preparation I only grew 2 varieties of chilli this year - Palivec Long Red and Ohnivec. I thought I'd just share a picture of them. These are the ones which were promoted to the kitchen windowsill, Palivec on the left in a 6" pot and 2 Ohnivecs potted in the same 8" pot. Healthy productive plants.

I would recommend Apache as a compact chilli, grew it last year.
