Hello No efficient solution to get rid of these pests, unless by hose or hand! Mine are red and love lilies=eat leaves! @+ PBline

They certainly look like shield bugs, and do no harm at all. They're not at all like lily beetles which are a real pest on lilies, asparagus, etc.

They don't need squeezing, just enjoy them!

          Good luck

I think it is a good year for these critturs - I found some this morning enjoying my sedum flowers. I also found a vine weevil, which is now no more.

They were on my corn, which i picked this evening, which are also now " no more".
Just had them with our dinner.

I have something very similar but are bright florescent green, but they don't seem to be doing any harm. Just creeps me to when you feel something crawling up your leg. There are some nasty critters here.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

Oh my God, thats just freaked me out. I could' nt bear the thought of squishing them. I put them in the bin.

I can't tolerate anything without legs, worms, snakes, snails and vine weevils.

Vine weevils have 6 legs - they are similar to beetles. You are probably thinking of the larvae which are white grubs with brown heads. The one I found was an adult:
