In the seed trap again

T&Ms doesn't sound bargain for me... I did try comparing with kings catalogue. T&M only presenting specific verieties that you can not compare the price .. fed up and tried to search for 'tigerella' which costs £2.29, and at Kings same pack coming for 80P , even before discount it would come for around £1.10.


There are some packs I would be paying more than £1, but searching for similar one on T&M in a day is not so favourable. so may be I am out. and £35 worth of seeds for a tenner is itself really a trap


and If I search for the seeds what I am after at T&M ..no results..so only way to feel royal on this offer is , sort by price high to low and pick blindly some with high priced and with equally tempting descriptions.

But I appriciate this offeronly If any one could find what they really waiting to buy .

Maybe I should not have mentioned the T&M promo as I am starting to feel guilty over people falling off the wagon!

I have resisted looking at my own post in the Top Tips section as the medication has started to work and my seed obsession has been replaced with.......I need more fleece.....I need more fleece.....

I think £10 is worth a punt on some of these pricey F1s that I wouldn't normally pay top dollar for... it's still months till Xmad and the growing season is almost over... I need a treat!

What's a mystery seed pack?

**mistery**mixed seed of multiple veriety with very less seed per pack..like 8 courgette seeds of BBQ mixed F1 ...most of them I resisted in my intial order though... had to discard french beans to get the items down to 10 packs... so not buying any french beans this year.

buying same number of seed variety in just 10 packs for a tenner....so I discard all my main seed order..so that I will still be with in my spending challenge of max £20


also relaxing rules for the spending challenge like

1. postage for seed orders and seed swaps are not included (seed swapping is healthy activity so no taxes counted) P&P for online orders is excluded for the first year of challenge.

2. Perenial seeds like asparagus,garlic and onions will not be included

3. Potato is optional for this first year.(the remaining £ 5.00 can be spent to buy potatos. but you never know )

As someone said, have fallen off on big way... ended up doing both orders. but spent the same amount i.e £30 in total .. by spreading my money to both seed companies I will be owning some 60 different seed veriety than just 30. Having been paid for both upfront it is official now that I failed the challenge that I took for spending maximum of £20 at the current state. but with one more amendment I can still be in the play.

*** Big festive kind of sales like waywale or allotment society catalogue orders which usually get paid by OH (he was so generous this time) should be considered as gifts? in that case I should allocate £0 spending challenge


anyway I got some time today ..so first time I tried to sort all my seeds stash... OMG I have many ....and really don't know If I have ordered duplicates.

planning 3 or 4 sets of VSP swaps. might clean up corriander and spinach seed packets from VSP

and have 4 cayane chilli peppers packs out which 3 unopened . one from VSP spring cleanup as well. and many unopened flowers... lot many tomatos (think they are far more types of toms for a new veg gardener ... and I have also ordered 2 packs of 4 other types of tomatos (T&M 4 different colors of baby plum..and mountain magic ) ...


thought I am in between the jobs. but know I seriously considering to remain stay at home and enjoy growing atleast few of these tomatoes. getting worse when 'I have to see' others obession and those lovely tomato pictures ..and more over the first taste of home grown tomatos ...one more important reason of free lovely tomato seeds from Rosie Pumpkin and VC (viability and rest).


my green house is small and also I have more inclined to grow aubs, chillis and few others. so its very unlikely to have enough heart to grow tomatoes undercover in my case.
