  • Two of my monkey nuts have germinated. They are in the heated propagator.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

            • Keep trying Sparrow, I've put more nuts in the original modules in the heated prop & they are showing signs of growth, so must be the heat that's done it.

                • I still haven't started mine...need to get compost. Do you put the whole nut in the compost, i.e. shell and all?

                  • I took them out of their shells and stood them on end (upright) in the compost, in a heated propagator. They're germinating at different rates though

                        • Finally, some activity..Looks like the nut has pushed itself up above the compost, hope that's ok?

I have these in a dark warm room, so presume its time to move them somewhere light and airy (and still warm obviously).............

Trip, mine started the same way and then the nut split and the leaves formed.

What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
