Bought mine in Aldi on Thursday.
bag of mixed, hazel, brazil, wallnuts and monkey nuts.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Without wanting to come across as a total eejit - are monkey nuts and peanuts the same thing ?
.......because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)

You, Kelvin? Come across as a total eejit? Never

The term 'monkey nuts' describes peanuts with the shell or pod intact. (I admit, I had to look it up)

What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

Monkey nuts also sold by Sainers at £1/bag. Kept in the chiller, which is a new one on me.

I want to give this a go.

Despite reading this thread (and being a lazy beggar at heart) - when are most folks planning on sowing these.

It's going to be a windowsill job for me - will that mean next spring ?

Ooh, that will please the better half.

Despite the normal 'carnage' in the house over the over the festive period - I'm going to start plopping seed trays all over every inch of available windowsill a couple of months earlier than I normally do.

Oh well, here's to 2016 - the Year of the Monkey (nut) apparently.

Git mine from a local fruit and veg shop, 15p for a small handful. Where/how should I store them until I'm ready to plant please?

Good question Sal which I don't have the answer, I would imagine the important thing is to keep them dry........you could always keep a couple in a pot of compost.............
