when adding kitchen waste to my wormery I noted that I could be emptying some of the compost from it, so I wondered what is the best way to use/store it, should I just keep in the wormery, or remove it and store in an air tight container or scatter it over the garden.

Bag it up Rary, it'll be good organic medium.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

I've also got my first batch of finished worm compost. I want to use it for potting next year, so I am leaving it where it is for now as I can't see that doing any harm and there is still room in the top for more fresh waste.
I wouldn't store it in an airtight container. Worm compost is teeming with life and that needs air. It will also still be decomposing, and if you exclude the air your nice crumbly compost may well turn into a horrible slimy mess. Bags would be fine for storage as long as there is access to some air, but I would make sure there are some small holes at the bottom to let out any liquid.A life is like a garden. Thanks for the reply to you both,I will store it in a black poly bag and keep it till the spring.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
