  • Gardening Blogs

Well, you all know I'm fed up and with today's daytime tv falling into the "another day same crud" category I chanced upon an excellent blog. Best one I've seen in a while and with very regular postings. I would have said a wee birdie told me about it but here's a link to it anyway . mudandgluts

Anyone else find a blog worth a look, please post a link on this thread.

This is one I like but that's because it's in the region. Allotment Heaven

I don't read that many blogs. Prefer reading books on gardening, reading forums or watching stuff on YouTube. There's a really good one on container gardening which I read ages ago but I've forgotten what it was called
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

      Aww AP! Thanks!

I love allotment blogs/diaries - it's great to read how everyone's doing and picking up tips. The tool rack and hooks for bamboos in my shed were pinched from a diary on another site.

      My favourite blogs are
Allotment Diary : Grow your own vegetables : Guides, tips and videos
Garden Betty | Diary of a Dirty Girl
Real Men Sow | a cheery allotment blog.
      Down on the Allotment

Would love to find some others to read.

Noos made me chuckle (lots) but I don't think she updates it any more Reluctant Gardener, day 1: Very overgrown | Mandy Sutter - Writer
Kristans is very inspiring but I don't think he has updated since June https://kgarden.wordpress.com/
Daughter of the Soil is worth a look in for heritage varieties, plant breeding, true potato seeds and more.

There seem to be lots that are great and then stop. Cottage Smallholder and Soilman are 2 that I really liked but seem to have stopped.

          This one's good too: www.grow-veg.uk

          I'll stop now...

Your welcome. I know all blogs are different but I really enjoyed yours as it was a very honest, memorable blog and you do wear your heart on your sleeve (which is a good thing). Some of the antics, which I know at the time some weren't funny for you but I should imagine looking back you can now chuckle (hopefully). The weedkiller incident, the cutting down of trees and mysterious signs, the tenancy ordeal with the council lady. It must be a year since I read it, but now I have mentioned it I feel the need to find time this winter to read it again

There are a lot of talented grapey bloggers. I still keep toying with the idea then decide I wouldn't be very good at it

It is? It's v good! *waves at WilliamD*

I have a tiny screen on the laptop so have never had the 'see people's signatures' option switched on. It dates from my pre-Adblocker days when lots of the screen was taken up with ads mid-thread. I probably miss all sorts of useful links that way.
