My end of year experiment - sowed 4 seeds of Rudolf purple sprouting broccoli on 6th October and just planted 4 x 5" high plants out in the garden underneath a mini greenhouse. What have I got to lose? 4 seeds and 4 small pot's worth of compost.

I have planted out a load of very late planted PSB - now yours stand a much better chance than mine, but even so I figured the loss of a whole six seeds and a bit of compost was worth a try. I dont have space to grow them the rest of the year so chances are they'll be pulled up before they have time to produce anything, but its better than looking at an empty raised bed all winter!
