Wait until next year? I was out yesterday planting out my garlic cloves and sowing broad beans and winter peas - it's the first dry day off I've had for 2 months. Tonight I'll be sowing broad beans and peas indoors in modules in case we do get a cold snap before they've established.
I'm also thinking as I have hundreds of seeds of each and wouldn't use them all in 10 years, I might sow various kale, spinach, psb etc just to see what happens.
    January's ages away yet!

I'm going to have to sit in my hands 'til the end of February next year, as I'm planning on going away for almost the whole month. I'll have enough trouble trying to get the housemate to chuck some water on the houseplants and the existing stuff in the greenhouse, forget asking him to care for delicate little seedlings..

When I get back though, it'll be planting extravaganza time! Tomatoes! Parsnips! Salads! Beans! Hurrah!

Having already got my winter peas growing, successional peas in lengths of guttering in my Polycarbonate house, this is much warmer than my greenhouse without heating. I bought a single heating mat which I will use for getting my toms off to an early start. Kelsea onions need going in modules now, then look through all my seed packets and see who I can `cheat` time with. Setanta and golden wonder tatties are on order for end of jan, but will `sit` on them till March.

Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous new year.
