Yesterday I noticed a large globe artichoke appearing which should be ready for picking in a week or so and today a big fat shoot of asparagus is pushing through.
Although it is cold at night - around zero - it is so warm during the day (20-25) this is ridiculous. And, with huge sympathy to those suffering yet another awful round of flooding in the UK, we are still in a drought Our resevoir is empty and there is very little snow in the mountains.
The garden has been full of bees and butterflies, but with very little flowering for them to eat, and today a very confused pair of collard doves are collecting nesting material and building in a crook of the oak tree, which of course has no leaves so they are in plain view.
It is a massive worry.
Right then, as you were. Best wishes to all
