Rushed straight home and met herself at the door with my wellies out and a cup of tea made. We were at the plot at 18:45hrs and she picked peas and french beans while I had another session of double digging the hard bit in the failing light. An hour later the glow from the football field lights and my failing night vision had me giving up, but I had worked up some cardio vascular exercise and double dug and mucked an area 10ft by 8ft.
What do you say at the back there? Well yes I am mad as it happens.

filled the brown bin with the last of my tom plants in the patch and emptied the various pots of plant matter that I have collected at various points.
Stuck my hand in a dead maggoty mouse (so glad I always wear gloves nowadays, shame there isn't a green sicky emoticon)
Shelled the beans that were hanging in the shed.
Dug over a bed and dug up cat poo but the bed is now covered - no bare soil
harvested a few more squash.
pulled down some beans plants to hang in the shed.
tried to rescue a horseradish sack but it wasn't very successful. Need to come up with a plan B.
I have gotten rather behind never mind
Whilst I was doing some of these things my youngest kindly relieved me of the task of dealing with the raspberry crop - yep she ate them all!!!Last edited by Norfolkgrey; 20-10-2016, 07:38 PM.

Cut a round dalek into 3 manageable pieces to make 3 mobile bins, placed them on spare beds on the plot. Raked out the chicken house & filled said 3 bins which will eventually be lifted and raked over. Made & fitted a new bracket onto the log burner fan that had broken. Tidied up the Parsnip bed. Siliconed a pane of glass into the Fish TV.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Got to the plot as it started to rain so hid in the greenhouse.
Pulled up the last outdoors tomato. Picked some tree cabbage, sweet peppers and chillies.
Decided to top up my manure daleks as they've settled - one full barrow in one and a half of one in another. Trucked an extended barrow load onto the pumpkin bed which will be dug in next month.
Hid from the rain in the greenhouse. Again.
Tied some wires onto the top of the fence posts to tie the blackberry canes on when they grow next year.
Hid from the rain in the greenhouse.
Picked raspberries.
Went home before the rain started.

Put down bark and W/C-Fabric around my onions and lettuces. Dug out and soil-conditioned a patch for my raspberry canes. Shares my excess garlic bulbs and lettuce seeds with neighbours xD.Attached Files"You never really understand a person until you look at things from their point of view, until you step into their skin and walk around in it" - Atticus Finch, To Kill A Mockingbird

Bust my "Gonad's" today clearing the large beds, still not done, but back on it in the morning.
My own fault! Lost my "Mojo" this year, that being the "Buzz Word" Lazy n lethargic I call it!
But good progress made!
Potted Nigh on 50 "Strawberry" runners, and put under cover for winter to set up a new bed come "Spring Time"
Turned the two "Darleks"
And otherwise had a tidy round!

Cleared a bed for shallots that I'd forgotten about.
Planted aforementioned shallots.
Burnt off a load of rotten wood / weeds and had a general tidy up.
Squished about 7 slugs - one of which had actually achieved the colour of a satsuma - should have taken a piccy.sigpic
1574 gin and tonics please Monica, large ones.

Hunted through the sheds for some net for someone else.
Picked some kale, sprouts, chard, leeks.
Started to move my pumpkins inside -managed to get all but the big one in as carrying the second largest done my back in.
Hopefully we won't have a frost tonight and after a hot bath and a nights rest my back will be up to it.
